The STCA Gazette Columnist is appointed for a two-year term by the Board at the Annual STCA Board Meeting following the annual dinner meeting.
The Gazette Columnist provides the Gazette with four columns per year, breed specific or of general interest to the canine world. Articles can and should vary to be of interest to the entire Scottish Terrier fancy, and therefore, can include, health, breeding, whelping, puppy rearing, human interest, ethical concerns, ways to enjoy this breed which now includes, obedience, agility, earthdog, etc.
Articles submitted may be written solely by the columnist or can, with written permission, include an article written by a knowledgeable author.

STCA Bagpiper may reprint after appearing online and should indicate reference to first appearing in the AKC Gazette.
DUTIES OF THE GAZETTE COLUMNIST
1. Work closely with the AKC breed column editor and to meet all deadlines
provided by the magazine.
2. Obtain from AKC the Guidelines for writing the column.
